After many years in the industry, working for others, Mark & Teresa Harris were given the opportunity to start their own Landscape & Lawn Care business. Teresa's love for gardening was instilled at an early age by her father and grandfather who were avid gardeners. She would later work for a local gardener serving clients in farmington, Keswick & the surrounding areas. She has been to training seminars offered by local nurseries but has learned the most by trial & error as she has designed & maintained flower gardens for many residences as well as The Colonnades Retirement Community. Mark started his "career", way back in 1972 when he rode his bycicle around the Scottsville, Virginia area to mow neighbor's lawns. He graduated to working with ferilizer mixing and pesticide applications with Spangler Farm Supply and went on to serve as the first sales & service manager for Lawn Doctor of Chesterfield. From here Mark moved back to Charlottesville to work with Dodson Pest Control and Lawn Doctor of Charlottesville before being hired and trained as a service technician for Duncan Irrigation and then Blue Ridge Irrigation Service Company. In 1999 Mark & Teresa were asked to start a business to meet the unique landscaping needs of The Colonnades Senior Living Community in Charlottesville, a Merriott managed property. The rest, as they say, is history. Mark has been trained and certified through the Lawn Doctor University, Virginia Tech programs, Toro & Rainbird Irrigation Universities, The Va. Extension Service, The Va, Turfgrass Council and multiple online courses.
